Favorite Recipe I prepare each salad individually and serve it to guests plated. It's a beautiful salad to have sitting at each placesetting when guests arrive.

![]() Proud to Recommend... Once again, I’ve found a gem in the Emerald City. Sigh! Can I say enough about my beloved Seattle?! Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know that the Chukar Cherries people have a wonderful store in Pike Place Market (sigh again!) but that’s not actually how I found them. If you can believe this, I was at the SeaTac airport on my way home from Seattle when I realized I hadn’t picked up a gift for one of my co-workers. Eeks, I don’t know how I did that! Bad me! Ducking into an airport gift shop, I discovered a display of Chukar Cherries and kicked myself for not making it back to their store in the market. I picked up a few bags of dried cherries, not my first choice of gifts, incidentally, threw them in my carryon and boarded the plane. Of course THEN I realized that I hadn’t forgotten to get a gift; I’d forgotten that I’d found a gift for her. Oh well, better to have more than not enough. I was home from Seattle for a couple of weeks, not quite sure what to do with my dried cherries, when I unexpectedly had company coming. I had greens for a salad but I didn’t have vegetables. I saw the cherries sitting there and picked up the bag. Rats! I’d accidentally picked up a bag of cherries, cranberries and pistachios! I didn’t realize they came in different flavors. I opened the bag. I put some on a bit of lettuce. I drizzled a bit of dressing. Oh my gosh! It was wonderful! Later that evening I plated salads for my guests and they were not only beautiful, they were gourmet! I’ve been hooked on Chukar Cherries ever since!
